Although there have been three Ivatt locomotives on the Isle of Wight (simply known as "The Island" to locals) in the past, they were then in pieces awaiting restoration. As part of a deal with the East Somerset Railway they returned to The Mainland for restoration to full working order and at the end of May 2018 they were once again reunited on the Island for a very special Gala, during which all three were working together for the first time. Star of the show was "Mickey Mouse Mogul" no 46447, the very first tender engine ever to work on The Island. We see it, together with its tank engine "twins" nos 41298/41313, shunting around at the west end of Havenstreet station on Saturday 26th May 2018. More will follow . . .
